Plantronics Headset C65 Connect

Galapagos - Guayaquil - Montanita

On Thursday afternoon we took a cab driver still in the Highlands of Santa Cruz Island where there were giant turtles to admire in the wild. First he drove us but to a natural tunnel, which was created by lava flows and should be about 400 feet long. We could go through the tunnel and then he picked us up at the other end again. We were amazed as we boarded our sandals in the tunnel. Turned out the way but as the half-climbing, and at one point you had to do almost lie on the ground to get by. Quite dirty but we were then on the other side. Very impressive what created nature can do. He then drove us further into the area in which many of the 3,000 giant turtles that live on this island was home. On a tour we were able to observe some of the animals to eat, bathe in pools, etc.. Very Impressive. Then it was back in the city. We walked around a bit in place before we were picked up for dinner. In the middle of town was a road on which we were in the afternoon travel by taxi, disabled and street restaurants in the street had their chairs and tables. After the wonderful fish with coconut curry sauce with rice, we went for a few beers in a Cash at more or less serious talks, leaving the human race and their interaction with nature, we finish off the evening. The next morning we had already at half past eight for breakfast and then we took a taxi to the airport on Baltra. At breakfast we watched the first few minutes of the opening game of the World Cup. Baltra is often simply called "The Rock". The island that once was actually with Santa Cruz together, separated by a relatively narrow channel from the rest of the island. Ferries to get people to the island and then goes on to a bus airport. All over the island you can still see the traces of WW2. The U.S. had to "The Rock" a base of the Navy and Air Force in order to protect the Panama Canal. have the end of the seventies (if I understood correctly) wanted Ecuador to foreign armed forces but not on the archipelago and the U.S. withdrew its troops from Baltra. still remains are a few bunkers, concrete floors and some crooked barracks. Quick check-in done and already about one hour before the scheduled departure time our flight was at the (single) Gate called. We finally lifted about 20 minutes before the scheduled time already towards Guayaquil. Once there we took a taxi and let us drive to be made in advance with the other hotel Sander. Lueku, Hug and Fabio came so again on Saturday from Cuenca to us. After we moved for cheaper $ 17 a double room had, we went a little look at the city. Guayaquil is located above the mouth of the Guayas into the sea caused by the confluence of two other rivers (name omitted ;-) at the height of Guayaquil. The Delta Guayaquil separated from the lying on the other side of town Duran. The two cities are the longest bridge in Ecuador (2.5 miles!) Connected to each other. The city has about 3 million inhabitants. Flat roof buildings, the city not particularly beautiful, with simple and skyscrapers. On Guayas but it has a 2 km long promenade, the Malecon 2000, with restaurants, gardens and even an artificial Imax cinema. Since we were tired from the trip but we went after that very little food (delicious fried Fish with a lot of rice for 3 dollars) and then went back to the hotel. The next day we looked at the hotel the second World Cup match on the day and I still did my laundry in a Lavanderia nearby, but since I was 3 days with the same T-shirt on the way :-) thank god there Deo spray :-) Then we went again into the city at the Barrio Las Penas go. The historic district, located on the slopes of Cerro Sant Ana against the river forms the historic core of Guayaquil several years ago and was completely renovated and turned into a magnet for tourists. 444 steps lead one to very high on the hill through the narrow streets of the neighborhood's houses are all brightly painted. War in the tropical climate of the city a very exhausting thing. On top of the hill is a small chapel and you have a good view of the Malecon and the rest of the inner city. After the 444 steps we had gone back down, we went back to our hotel to look at us at half past one in the third game of the day between England and the U.S. on TV. Leider wurde der Empfang mit fortdauer des Spiels immer schlechter und am Ende erkannte man kaum mehr etwas, aber so interessant war das Spiel allem anschein nach sowieso nicht :-) Lueku, Fabio und Hug kamen dann gegen drei Uhr aus Cuenca an und in zwei Gruppen we went in a taxi towards the stadium where the evening at 19.00 clock the city derby between Barcelona and Emelec Guayaquil took place. The two teams with the largest Annex against each other. First (Barcelona) to second (Emelec) in the current season against each other. It was so expect a lot. Even the whole day we saw people running around in the city with yellow (Barcelona) or blue (Emelec) shirts, with the yellow appeared yet in the majority. In a stadium that holds 90 000 spectators not entirely illogical.

Jun 12, 2010, Barcelona SC - CS Emelec
Seria A, Ecuador, Estadio Monumental, Guayaquil, 75000 viewers (ca.10000 guests)

was a kilometer from the stadium around the Avenida after the home club named in the Estadio Monumental Barcelona Sporting Club, is blocked by the police for vehicles so that we all remaining Way to the stadium had to go on foot. All the way with dozens of people standing tickets for the game. It was unbelievable how much tickets apparently sold on the black market. So many Ticketverkaeufer I have personally never seen any case. Before the stadium had a lot of police, according to a newspaper in the hotel rested to over 1,700 policemen have been deployed. After we had waited in vain for Hug and Fabio, we finally went to the stadium and met the Dortmund bag again we had already met in Colombia and Venezuela. Our first class seats high up over the direct Gaesteanhang, on one half of the main stage were housed. Even before the game between the two Fanlagern pleasantries exchanged, and all types of PET bottles, and stuffed beer mug flew from the bottom or top of each other's fans. And this nota bene on the main grandstand. The stadium is an imposing building with two huge and Short side in second place on the main and only Gegentribuene inheritances with boxes. The Emelec fans early on and would not sing the songs have been the Barcelona deafening booms from the speakers and repeated every few minutes, it would be before the game was very impressive. Prior to the game there are already some sculptures, objects in themselves and Gaesteblock pulled in as the Barra by Emelec (As usual, just before the game) was in full block made relatively unzimperlich place. As Finally, the teams entered the lawn were the two curves of Barcelona is a nice intro with confetti and thousands of yellow smoke. But the left Gaesteanhang rags and had no blue smoke rising to the sky and casting reels and a few torches and turn signals, the beautiful image rounded. After only about 3 minutes, the first highlight: Emelec went through glorious free kick, which came into leadership. The Hinchas by Emelec engaged with us for the first time completely. A wonderful goal celebration accompanied by all sorts of flying from the main stage Wurfgegenstaenden and from the boxes in the direction Gaestefans. The atmosphere stunning and I had goose bumps more than once sang as the entire block of Emelec. Barcelona was our places, unfortunately to the wheels with something not often, but we certainly saw some movement in the block including some very wild Pogo. The mood was seen all over his game really well, what was the Gaesteanhang certainly due to the good performance of their team. When compensation rather lucky for Barcelona with a Kopftor the stadium seemed to explode right and flew us back all kinds of cups and another only this time in the other direction. Emelec was still in the second half of the earned and again celebrated by a complete turn off Gaesteblock winner. Again flew full cups and PET bottles in the direction Gaesteblock, wherein a passage of dancing Emelec fan of a full beer cup was made in full. This lifted the cup, pissed pleasurable filled in and threw the cup back where it came from. There was also the final whistle, there are several Bepoebeleien and police their labor of love, the Barcelona fans had applied directly over the Gaesteanhang to leave the stadium move. Finally, when nothing but the celebrating guests mob in the stadium was, we went towards the exit and then went the way back to the blocked road and caught there like a bus Surprisingly, also the same for our hotel went by and we were able to jump out quickly on a Kreuzrung. Hug and Fabio came a little later on ... and were completely disappointed. Apparently was of the immense feeling of Emelec fans little to nothing with them arrived on the Gegentribuene. We could hard to believe when they told that in the really incredibly cool outgoing Emelec fans we could watch 90 minutes.

We then searched a restaurant, but this is 10 clock in the evening in the city seemingly difficult and finally went to a fast-food giant (KFC) Then we wanted to end the day actually on a couple of beers. Apart from some fucked up disco and a pub in which a 60-year old man to boy Selle aussehnde Ecuadorian English pop songs the best there and we sit in a row had to because it was so tight in there, we found but unfortunately nothing really tingly and were shortly after a then all back at the hotel. The next day we said goodbye to Mark who flew in the evening Heimwaerts and finally we went to take a 9 clock going to the bus terminal to catch the bus to Montanita on the coast. A huge bus station in which one could run loose and was much bigger than the airport next door. Unfortunately, the next direct bus to Montanita would be only a clock in the afternoon run, so we stop with one change in Sant Elena in about 2 and a half hours were also on target. In surfers paradise arrived at first a little disillusionment. It was drizzling from tiefhaengenden clouds and warm it really was not. Since we were not united in what hotel should we go (Lueku were 10 dollars to much ;-)) we went to two different hotels. Then we found ourselves in the small town at first what was done very quickly. Actually there are only a few streets that make up the center. Just in time for the game Germany-Australia, we were in a restaurant and found ourselves with a beer and a quick bite to eat at the one-sided game. Then we left the day with beer, Cuba Libre and other beverages and a "stop smoking" finish off the sea. Actually we wanted to look at this morning so Holland and Denmark. Since we had yet been launched against two to bed and the game clock started at 6:30 local time, then stop not worry :-) The second game today but we were in for breakfast and then crashed Fabio and I are in the impressive waves on the beach with Italy and Paraguay on time again to sit at a "Torre" and to look at the game. Lueku and bag, meanwhile, had a tour booked on an island off the coast of the "Galapagos for poor" as is. Since I have been on the "right Archipelago" was I allowed to stay but this trip. Tomorrow afternoon sees our plan is actually going back to go to Guayaquil Emelec on Wednesday to watch in their home match against LDU Quito, but who knows, maybe we like it here but too good and the sun, we unfortunately still have not seen, let's see :-)
